My Dad and Aunt ran the rock-n-roll half marathon a few weekends ago. The day before the race, my Dad had to get his racing packet, so we did a little exploring while we were there. We walked all around Seattle and eventually ended up by pike place. With all that waking you get a little hungry, so we found a little pho restaurant. The food was SO good! Would definitely recommend.
The next day we got up early and headed back to Seattle for the big day. We got there and I couldn’t believe how many people there were! It took awhile for my Dad and Aunt’s section to get going, just because there were so many people. After the long wait we cheered them on as they crossed the start. This means coffee time for those of us who aren’t racing :D. My family and I walked quite a ways to a coffee shop we spotted yesterday called Zeitgeist coffee. It was pretty decent. I got a cappuccino, which is rare for me, I usually always get an Americano but I decided to mix things up today. After coffee we walked down to the finish line and waited for my Dad and Aunt to cross. It was hard to see who was crossing the finish, but once I saw my Dad I cheered him on. Im so proud of him! Sadly I did not get to see my Aunt cross the finish. They did such a good job, very inspiring to me.
Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful day!
The Lord is my strength and song,
And He has become my salvation;
This is my God, and I will praise Him;
My father’s God, and I will extol Him.
